It is time

The time has come my little ones to talk of many things.
Of BigMacs and wine,
Of two days off,
Of cabbages and kings.

But for real, I needed this. That's a preemptive thank you to the universe for allowing my upcoming mini roadtrip to be many wonderfuls.

Glares, Small Dough?

Where am I?

Here's a hint: The number of beers on tap divided by the number of boys in plaid equals 213, which is both the area code in which this spot is located and the time of day I found myself shitfaced from a extra bubblegummy, bananarific hef.

Where's Geraldo?

Here's a fun game: Where was this photo taken? Hint: It's really, really easy if you know LA.

Hmm. Considering the how the males within my chosen peer-group have a pension for covering receeding hairlines with fedoras, beanies ala Zissou, and a plethora of different shaggy haircuts, maybe I should reconsider changing the name of this post to Bears Baldo. Not that this particular kid was bald. I'm just saying. Also, as far as I know, there is no one named Geraldo in this picture. I figured I should note that before anyone spent hours looking for the one Waldo without a shoe or the one early 30's freelancer at the Pho spot without a beard.

Fuck. I spoiled the game.

I wish

Wish I had long, straight hair like a Japanese woman.

Wish I had a house on the beach.

Wish my powers of telekinesis would kick in already.

Wish I didn't have to work every fucking Saturday night so I could go to this:

My life as a social experiment

I've been taking my breaks in the park by the library for sometime now. Some days it is just me and the pigeons. Some days there are other humanoids. Today, there are 9 men of various levels of apparent junkie-ism, ranging from Business Junkie (see inset) to For Real For Real Junkie (see other inset; allow yourself to imagine the heroin nod).

The experimentation comes in the form of a certain baby blue dress, frilly apron and super high Chucks (see super hot inset.). Suffice to say, my slutty uniform brings all the boys to the yard.

I think it's time to get a real job. Any ideas?

Art Show Darling

That's what I wanna be when I grow up. Not an astronaut, ballerina, or elephant like I said before.

See you there?

If I were stalking me...

...I'd go here.

(Edit: Shiiit. Click it and you can see the whole thing. Turns out I can't compute for beans.)

A great week to not be here.

The title is sarcasm. I'm excited as the next Gibson to attend my grandpa's 80th/fam re-u in Yuma, but shiiiiiit. Seems like fun stuff is happening here. Here's what I would be doing if I weren't a glamour-loving glamourbot:

Origami Vinyl to Open in Echo Park, CA
Opening April 3, 2009
(Boys, beards, records, people, stuff, things.)

Kid Sister at the Echo?
(That's tonight. I could go, but I don't wanna pay. Also, I don't really know if I'm into her that much though I bet it will turn into a great dance party...)

Um, everything on this list, with the possible exception of the things at either of the Standards. Something about shitting and sleeping?

Seriously, go do all these things and think of me.

Fucking Fucktown.

'Scuse my mouth, but I am feeling blue. Why? Because there is a Los Angeles Lomo adventure happening during the time that I'm in Yuma. Here's the flier. You should totally go.

Beards, Bands, Babes...

....I'll be there.

The line between musical enigma and musical charlatan gets stretched a little thinner with every mention of Pop Levi. The British-born, L.A.-based songwriter pops up again with this 37-minute documentary, shot entirely on cellphones and pocket cameras by band mate Lucky Beaches. Both Pop and Lucky will be on-hand for a live set to follow the screening.

November 24 : 8 p.m.

Wanna be my date?
