Happy Halloween!

Or whatever it is. I'll be at work. If you're bored, come love me.

Inspiration

Watched Funny Farm last night. So damn good. The plot is typical Chevy Chase-- one ridiculous problem after the next, calamity and hilarity ensue. Ben Stiller should send ol' Chevy a thank you note since Frustrating Shit Keeps Happening is the only genre he seems to want to be a part of these days. The point is, you miss all the good shit if you fail to take in the aesthetic properties, particularly the wardrobe of Miss Madolyn Smith and the decor of all the small town spots they hit up.

Feast.

If Only...

Love/hate

Bitch is wild. I am literally straddling the proverbial fence on this one.

Hate:
*The silver shades
*The whole song, particularly the chorus
*The audacity

Love:
*Her gangster bounce
*The high end garb
*The audacity

Ugly Xmas Sweaters

The idea isn't so novel anymore, I know, but damn if the punch ain't strong. Or at least I hope. Hope to see your pretty faces tonight.

Which reminds me...

The Petrojvic Blasting Company blows my feeble mind. I'd stalk them if I weren't so lazy.

Boys, call me.

Two days after I left my heart in NY...

Beirut played at McCarren Pool. I missed it, but this is good enough for a wank.

If I had devoted followers,

I'd apologize for leaving them without a dope beat to step to.  Here's something:

Sincere apologies...

...to the owner of the Veuve. We stole it, drank it, and today, I pay. I need Jesus.

The Realest Xmas List Item

Ok. I know it is beyond tacky to suggest that people buy me gifts, but I never said I was classy. For real, film is expensive. If you're the rich uncle I always wanted and are seeking a gift for me for the upcoming holiday of your choice, look no further.

I'll take any of the following mediums (Mediums? Media? Hmm.):

Polaroid 600. Shit is going extinct as we speak and you know endangered species ain't cheap.

120 Film. This is cheaper but expensive to develop. The photos from NY were shot using this film and my Beloved Diana.

35mm. Cheap to buy and to develop. I am thinking of taking some time to focus on it alone since I can actually afford it.

I guess this post is stupid. I really just need a sugar daddy. Where are you, Yeezy?

Xmas List Part 289

I know. I'm selfish. For the record, I have been doing some intensive electronic shopping for my loved ones today. I just happened to stumble across some things I want for little ol' me.

Xmas List Part 7

Hamburger Dress by Joy Kampia. Has there ever been a better dress for me? I'm burgen right naw.

TGIF

I wanna be down.

Humanoid Lloyd

Actually, his name is Jules.

I just wonder what it's like to be so smart that you build robotic people for fun.

Beards, Bands, Babes...

....I'll be there.

The line between musical enigma and musical charlatan gets stretched a little thinner with every mention of Pop Levi. The British-born, L.A.-based songwriter pops up again with this 37-minute documentary, shot entirely on cellphones and pocket cameras by band mate Lucky Beaches. Both Pop and Lucky will be on-hand for a live set to follow the screening.

November 24 : 8 p.m.

Wanna be my date?

I will immerse myself in art!

Saturday, prework.

Nov. 15: Echo Park gallery Machine Project pulls out all the stops in their all-day takeover of LACMA's museum grounds. Because it's fall...

...and I wanna cuddle in the forest. These adorable woodland creatures were created by Aaron Piland and Ayumi Kajikawa, a Portland-based hubby/wifey duo.

All Around Us

Living in the city, it's easy forget what nature is. Trees? Flowers? Not in my Hollywood. Recently, S and I went for a little walk around our 'hood to try to find some living things. These are the pics I snapped with my cell.

Lady in Waiting

The big day approaches. No, not Halloween. I don't even have a costume. I do, however, have an outfit picked out for another impending holiday. On Tuesday, November 4th I'll be rocking, what else?, an Obama tee. I'm also thinking of picking my hair out so I look like a panther, just for fun. I'm so excited, I could pee.

Midnight Cupcakes for Woeful Women

Because Red Velvet is not just a euphemism for vagina.

RV+Rainbow Chip Frosting= Way Better Than D

If you really loved me...

...you'd build me one of these. Who wants to move to Portland/Austin/somewhere woodsy with me?

X-Mas Wishlist, Item Three

A trip to Liverpool. Among other things, I'd like to see this:

X-Mas Wishlist, Item Two

A building with Flare.

Flare is like snakeskin covering that makes an ordinary structure something like a living creature. As I can't afford a home in Los Angeles, I'd take this on my treehouse. Thanks.

X-Mas Wishlist, Item One

Ferro fluid.

It's a liquid that is magnetic. Which means in can be manipulated in various interesting ways, including but not limited to the raver Christmas trees demonstrated in the video above. I think if I had it, I'd spend all day trying to convince people that I was Alex Mack.

In Living Color (no JLo)

More pics from my dearest Di.

Princess Diana

So this summer I bought a Diana. I love her with all my heart. After a lengthy gestation period (i.e. getting my self to Santa Monica to pick them up) my photos have been birthed. Here's some of the little darlings.

I love this one. I'll call it C Love the Kids.

Hold tight for some colorific pics.
